Who we are
This policy explains what personal information CTRL Music Platforms LLC collects through this website, ctrlmusicgroup.com, and what we do with it. CTRL Music Platforms LLC is an Illinois limited liability company based in Chicago, Illinois. "CTRL Music Group" is the name we use for this website. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean CTRL Music Platforms LLC.
Our products have their own policies
This policy covers this company website only. Each of our products has its own privacy policy that explains what that product collects when you create an account, pay, or use it. If you use one of our products, its policy is the one that applies to that use:
What we collect on this website
This website does not have user accounts and does not sell anything directly. We collect very little:
- What you send us. If you email us or use a contact or support form, we receive what you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message, and any details about your account on one of our products.
- Technical data. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages receive your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time of the request. Our hosting and security providers keep this in their logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking scripts on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and support requests, and to keep a record of those conversations.
- To deliver the website, keep it secure and working, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure website and answering the people who contact us, and on our legal obligations where they apply.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website and our support, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare, which provides our DNS, content delivery and security, and handles every request to this site.
- Our cloud hosting provider in the United States, which runs the servers for this website.
- Google Workspace, which provides our company email, including [email protected].
- Our support tools, which store support requests so we can track and answer them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of people or of our company, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not set cookies of its own. It stores one small setting in your browser's local storage that remembers our web fonts have already loaded, so later pages show them sooner. It contains no personal information, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to tell people apart from automated traffic. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep support emails and messages for as long as we need them to help you, keep a record of what was discussed, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Server and security logs are kept by our hosting and security providers for a limited time under their own retention settings, and are then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have us correct information that is wrong;
- have us delete your information;
- object to or limit how we use it; and
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we respond within the time the law requires, usually within 30 days. You can also use an authorized agent where the law allows. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
Security and where your data is stored
Connections to this website are encrypted with HTTPS, and access to our systems and email is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.
We are based in the United States and our providers process information here and in other countries where they operate. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be handled in the United States.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or practices change. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
